Our mission is to bridge the gap between experienced public health experts and emerging professionals by fostering mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Through a structured mentoring programme, we connect public health students, early-career professionals, and mid-career practitioners with seasoned experts across various specialisations, including epidemiology, health policy, midwifery, nursing, social work, and medicine.
By creating a strong, supportive network, NEXTGEN-PUBLIC HEALTH empowers individuals to expand their knowledge, build meaningful relationships, and access opportunities that propel them toward leadership roles in global public health.

She is a Professor of Health Inequalities at Buckinghamshire New University, UK, and has led impactful projects funded by international organisations such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the UK and US government agencies.
Passionate about mentorship and capacity building, Professor Adegoke has dedicated her career to advancing health equity and empowering professionals in the field. Her extensive work in maternal health, health systems strengthening, and social determinants of health has positioned her as a thought leader in public health.
Driven by the vision of developing future public health leaders, she founded NEXTGEN-PUBLIC HEALTH to create an inclusive, supportive space where knowledge is shared, skills are honed, and careers are advanced. Unlike general career mentorship programmes, NEXTGEN-PH focuses specifically on public health professionals and students. We provide structured mentoring, global networking opportunities, and access to expert-led learning sessions tailored to public health challenges.
We match mentors and mentees based on professional interests, career goals, expertise, and geography. Our structured application and matching process ensures meaningful and productive mentor-mentee relationships.
While we use a structured matching process, mentees can indicate their preferences. If a match does not work out, we allow adjustments to ensure a productive relationship.
